Is there any sort of aftercare for nail services?Yes! Cuticle oil is my top recommendation for at-home nail care. The skin around your nails can peel or crack when it becomes dry, and using cuticle oil regularly helps keep them moisturized and prevents hangnails.
FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS-
Limit water exposure (avoid baths and bodies of water), stay away from heat and steam, avoid harsh chemicals, and be gentle with your nails. 😊
For acrylic and gel services, I typically recommend maintenance every 3-4 weeks. Keep in mind that retention can vary depending on each client’s lifestyle.
When should I book a fill?Is gel healthier than acrylic?Neither options are considered more “healthy” than the other. The best choice depends on your desired look and your lifestyle. For example, if you type frequently and tend to use the tips of your fingers, acrylic extensions may not be the best fit. Nails shouldn’t be used as tools, as that can significantly reduce how long your set lasts!
How do I remove my nail enhancements? Acrylic and soft gel can be removed either by filing or soaking, while hard gel must be filed off. I don’t recommend at-home removal, as it can easily damage the nail plate. You’re welcome to book a removal appointment with me, or visit a local nail salon if that’s more convenient. Whatever you do, please don’t pick or rip your nails off!
How long will my appointment be?Acrylic and gel services typically take between 1.5 to 3+ hours. Timing can vary depending on the design and the amount of prep needed (especially if it’s been a while since your last appointment). I take my time to ensure quality and attention to detail, so if you’re not a fan of longer appointments, I completely understand, but I may not be the best fit for you.
How do I know how much my set will cost?You can always message me before booking for a quote and a detailed price breakdown. It can be tricky to select designs directly from my site since not everyone is familiar with the names or categories of certain styles. Reaching out beforehand helps ensure you know exactly what to expect price wise. For simpler sets with minimal art like french tips or solid colors, those options are listed on the booking site.
